Metalworking – Braunschweig Town Hall: Metal Construction Work. The Work To Be Awarded Includes The Removal, Preparation And Reinstallation Of Window Elements. The Window Elements Should Be Refurbished According To The Following Scheme: 1. Non-Destructive Removal Of The Elements Including Fastening Parts 2. Removal Of Existing Paint/Coating Using Blasting (No Chemical Stripping) 3. Damage Analysis (Degree Of Rust) 4. Derusting And Degreasing (Primary Surface Preparation) And, If Necessary, Producing A Replacement Profile 5. If Necessary, Producing Reinforcement Profiles According To The Statics, In Some Cases Adding Opening Sashes. Sharp-Edged Profiles Are Preferable To Round-Edged Profiles 6. Primer And Top Coat (Color According To The Door List Or Samples) 7. If Necessary, Installation Of New Insulating Glazing And Glazing Seals 8. Fittings Must Be Preserved And Made Usable If Possible 9. Reinstallation Including Establishing Connections To The Existing Building Due To The Listed Status Of The Windows, The Components Must Be Carefully Dismantled And Reinstalled.
