The Planning Services For Object Planning For Buildings In Accordance With Hoai, Service Phases 1 To 9 Are To Be Provided For The Conversion Of The Further Education College (Wbk) Of The Aachen City Region In Würselen Into A Special Needs School. The Wbk Will Move To New Rooms In The Building Of The Vocational College For Design And Technology In Aachen In The Summer Of 2026. After The Move, The Vacant Wbk Building Will Be Converted Into A Secondary Location For The Rodaschule, A Special Needs School With A Focus On Intellectual Development. The Rodaschule Is Currently Located On Geilenkirchener Straße In Herzogenrath. Due To The Increasing Number Of Students, The Current Premises Are No Longer Sufficient. The Wbk Is Therefore To Be Converted Into A Secondary Location For The Rodaschule. The Würselen Location Will Accommodate Grades 1 To 5 In The Future. Extensive Renovation Work Is Required For The New Use As A Special School. The Focus Is In Particular On The Following Aspects: Adapting The Existing Spatial Structures To The Educational And Functional Requirements Of A Special School, Creating Complete Accessibility, Adapting And Expanding The Fire Protection Concept, Energy And Technical Renovation Measures. A Feasibility Study For The Intended Purpose Was Drawn Up By A School Construction Consultancy And A Usage Variant Was Developed Together With The Rodaschule, Which Should Serve As The Basis For The Preliminary Design. This Must Be Further Developed With Regard To Function, Fire Protection And Accessibility And Carried Through To Implementation. Thirteen Classrooms For Around 130 Students Will Have Differentiation Rooms With Dining, Cooking And Lounge Areas For The Full Day. The Sanitary Areas Are Adapted To The Needs Of The Students, And Additional Care Areas Are Created.
