Expression of Interest for Provision of Consulting Services for the Construction of the Prinzapolka Bridge, including its Approach Roads and Associated Facilities, and for the Rehabilitation of the Tadazna Bridge, Covering Engineering Detailed Designs, Tendering of Works, and Supervision of Execution Contracts for Both Components, While Ensuring Full Compliance with Applicable Technical, Environmental, Social, Financial, and Contractual Standards. Objectives The objectives of the consulting services are, but not limited to: (1) carry out site investigations and field verifications to confirm design parameters and adapt the works to existing conditions, including geotechnical, topographic, and hydrological aspects; (2) review of designs, complement, update and improve the designs where applicable, prepare the detailed engineering designs and bills of quantities, review and finalize preparation of tender documents including all related technical specifications and documentation required for tendering the construction works of the Project; (3) implement quality assurance and control procedures for all construction materials and works, and monitor compliance with the applicable environmental and social safeguards; (4) assist the MTI in contract administration, including the review of contractors work programs, verification of progress payments, and assessment of variation orders and claims; (5) coordinate with MTIs Directorate of Various Resources (DR-Varios) to ensure the timely exchange of technical information, site instructions, and progress evaluations; (6) prepare and submit to MTI and KFAED all required reports, including the inception report, monthly progress reports, and final supervision report, in English; and (7) monitor the works during the defects liability period, carry out periodic inspections, and assist MTI in the issuance of final acceptance certificates and the preparation of the Project completion documentation he attention of interested KCFs is drawn to the following provisions that will be highlighted in the Request for Proposals (RFP) to be issued to shortlisted KCFs: The consultant will be expected to have no conflict of interest of any kind and is not restricted due to other active assignments. The firm or an individual in the firm has not been sanctioned by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority in Kuwait or are under a suspension or a debarment imposed by any other entity of the Government of The Republic of Nicaragua, or any international organization. Government-owned enterprises or institutions, officials, and civil servants or employees of public institutions shall not be eligible.
