The Clear Urban Development Figure Is Continued In The Floor Plan Structure. The Skeleton Construction Provides For The Greatest Possible Flexibility And Openness Of Use So That The House Meets All The Needs Of The Various User Groups. The Different Uses Are Organized Around The Central Public Atrium. Technical And Ancillary Rooms Are Combined Into One Core In The Atrium So That The Facade Can Be Freely Designed. The Open, Surrounding Facade Thus Emphasizes The Public Nature Of The Building In The City Center And Underlines The Inviting Character Of The District House. The Building Is Designed As A Wooden Frame Structure In Order To Provide Users With The Greatest Possible Flexibility And To Make Future Changes To Space Requirements Easy To Implement. The Basic Framework Consists Of Solid Wood Supports, As Well As Main And Secondary Beams Made Of Glued Laminated Timber And A Cross-Laminated Timber Ceiling. The Gridded Facade With Curtain Elements Makes The Flexibility, Modularity And Simplicity Of The Building Structure Clear. By Using Recycled Materials From Existing Buildings That Are Being Demolished, The District House Anchors Itself In The District And Impresses With Its Special Local Identity.
