The City Of Krefeld Would Like To Participate In The Rhine/Ruhr Regions Application For The Olympic Games. For This Purpose, It Was Agreed Together With The German Olympic Sports Confederation, The State Chancellery Of North Rhine-Westphalia And The Other 15 Potential Host Cities To Hold A Council Vote In All Municipalities On April 19, 2026. This Council Referendum Will Be Carried Out Purely As A Postal Vote. In Krefeld, Around 180,000 People Are Entitled To Vote For This Referendum. All Eligible Voters Must Receive Personalized Postal Voting Documents By March 20, 2026 At The Latest.
