Detailed Objectives: - Maintaining the condition of roads, facilities, and public infrastructure in the mentioned areas, which brings economic benefits to the state. - The local procurement of construction materials leads to an increase in trade opportunities, buying and selling, and the circulation of raw materials. During normal construction situations, the effects are positive, direct, geographically specific, and have a short-term duration, with significant overall importance for the economy and employment. - Contributing to solving the problem of severe floods. - Protecting the environment by preventing the accumulation of rainwater, whether inside the area or in the surrounding areas where water may collect due to the lack of an integrated drainage network for rainwater. Scope of Work: - The project is located in existing and future urban development areas, namely South Abdullah Al-Mubarak and Al-Mutlaa Residential areas. This project aims to implement permanent protection for these areas from flood hazards, to avoid the repercussions and damages resulting from floods coming from outside the areas. This is achieved through a set of radical solutions that can accommodate the flows before they reach these cities. These solutions involve implementing permanent lakes according to environmental standards, a set of dams, and water-conveying channels to transport floodwater away from these cities, in addition to drainage lakes for the surplus from the rainwater network of Al-Mutlaa Residential City.
