Angus L. Macdonald Bridge Dartmouth And Halifax Approach Spans, Steel Repairs & Protective Coatings . Hhb Is Part Way Through Its Latest 10-Year Capital Plan, And The Steel Repair & Protective Coating Program Is Intended To Rehabilitate Remaining Original Steel On The Angus L. Macdonald Bridge, Focusing On Full Removal And Application Of A New 3-Coat Protective Coating System (Organic Zinc-Rich Primer, Epoxy Mid-Coat And Polyurethane Topcoat, Oz/Ep/Pu). To Date, Three Phases Of The Steel Repair & Protective Coating Program Have Been Completed: Halifax Cable Bent (Hcb), Halifax Approach Truss Span (Hcb To Pier H1), And Dartmouth Cable Bent (Dcb, Was Completed In Late 2023). The Current On-Going Phase Of The Project Includes The Rehabilitation Of The Halifax And Dartmouth Main Towers (Hmt And Dmt), Dartmouth Approach Truss Spans (Between Dartmouth Cable Bent And Bent D3). The Phase Included In This Tender Is The Halifax Approach Spans (Hab To H1) And The Dartmouth Approach Spans (Dab To D3). The Steel Repairs And Coating Program Includes The Following Bridge Components: • Halifax Girder Spans (Hl-Hab Ej) (78 Metres Long); • Dartmouth Girder Spans (D6-Dab Ej) (156 Metres Long); • Dartmouth Truss Spans (D3-D6) (84 Metres Long) Pre-Tender Meeting And Site Visit: Thursday, October 30, 2025
