Contract Award For Briagolong Water Treatment Plant Production Bore Drilling, Construction And Development In 2021, Investigation Bore Wrk123250 Was Drilled At The Briagolong Water Treatment Plant (Wtp), 33-39 Mcmillan Street, Briagolong, To Identify The Potential For Groundwater Development From The Deeper Aquifer System. The Investigation Bore Was Drilled To A Total Depth Of Around 108 M And Was Screened Between 87 M And 93 M Depth. Based On The Outcome Of This Previous Work, Gippsland Water Are Now Proceeding To Install A Production Bore At The Wtp. This Production Bore Will Target The Multiple Coarse Grained Sand Lenses Identified From The Investigative Drilling. Gippsland Water Have A Licence For 1.2 Ml/D Extraction Rate With A Maximum Depth Of 350 Metres (Although The Proposed Bore Construction Is Designed At Maximum 100 Meters Depth).
