LONGi, a global leader in solar technology manufacturing, officially unveiled its next-generation solar module, the Hi-MO X10, at a high-profile event in Dubai. The launch event drew over 150 key industry stakeholders from the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, including engineering, procurement, and construction firms (EPCs), independent power producers (IPPs), property developers, installers, distributors, and other key partners. The Hi-MO X10, designed to redefine solar energy adoption, received an enthusiastic response, highlighting its potential to transform the region’s solar energy landscape.
Revolutionary Solar Technology: Hi-MO X10
The Hi-MO X10 incorporates advanced HPBC 2.0 cell technology, achieving an impressive production efficiency exceeding 24.8%, and cell efficiency reaching 26.6%, specifically designed to enhance distributed solar generation capabilities across the MEA region. This innovation is powered by LONGi’s proprietary N-type TaiRay silicon wafers, which optimize performance through higher cell concentration, reduced impurities, and increased breakage resistance.
A standout feature of the Hi-MO X10 is its 0BB structure, which eliminates front grid lines and back busbars, significantly boosting power output and bifaciality—paving the way for potential two-sided module innovations in the future.
Designed to withstand the MEA region’s challenging climate conditions, the Hi-MO X10 effectively mitigates shading and hotspot issues by redirecting current flow, reducing power losses, and lowering hotspot temperatures by 28%. Its robust design offers superior UV resistance, anti-aging performance, and micro-crack prevention, along with an industry-leading temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C. The module is backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty, ensuring long-term safety, stability, and reliability.
Strategic Growth in the MEA Solar Market
The Dubai launch underscores LONGi’s commitment to expanding its presence in the MEA region, which holds immense potential for solar energy adoption. During the event, Chao Jia, President of Distributed Generation Business for Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, delivered a keynote address on the evolution of solar technologies and LONGi’s innovative response with BC technology.
“The Hi-MO X10 is a testament to LONGi’s unwavering dedication to advancing solar innovation and driving sustainable energy solutions for the region,” stated Chao Jia. He highlighted the module’s advanced design and capabilities, emphasizing its transformative impact on the MEA solar market.
The event also marked a major milestone for LONGi’s regional partnerships. Baggio Teng, General Manager of LONGi MENA, announced that the company secured over 600 MW in signed contracts during the event, including a strategic cooperation agreement with key distributors and 120 MW in confirmed orders for commercial and industrial projects. “The confidence and trust of our customers in the Middle East and Africa are crucial to our growth,” Teng remarked. “This strong turnout underscores the value of our partnerships and the growing interest in LONGi’s innovative solar solutions.”
During the event, Omar Attaiyat, Regional Sales Director of LONGi MENA, delivered a captivating presentation highlighting the innovative features of the Hi-MO X10. He emphasized the product’s groundbreaking design and industry-leading efficiency, declaring: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing The Peak of Crystalline Silicon Technology!” His remarks resonated with the audience, underscoring the module’s potential to set a new benchmark in solar energy solutions in the region.
Waseem Haider, Channel Sales Manager of LONGi MENA, was the event’s master of ceremonies. With his charismatic presence, he entertained the audience with fun jokes and interactive sessions. Haider kept the energy high by involving attendees in puzzles, games, and quizzes, awarding exciting gifts to winners. His dynamic approach added a lively and engaging touch to the launch.
Supporting MEA’s Unique Energy Needs
Designed to perform under high-temperature conditions and diverse installation environments, the Hi-MO X10 is tailored to address the MEA region’s unique solar energy requirements. The launch reinforces LONGi’s commitment to delivering pioneering solar solutions that drive sustainable energy adoption and support carbon-neutral goals across the Middle East and Africa.
