H2 MEET 2024, set to open on September 25 at KINTEX in Goyang City, is poised to enhance its position as a global business platform for the hydrogen industry. The event will offer Korean companies direct access to international buyers through export consultation sessions, aimed at fostering overseas partnerships and expanding global market opportunities.
The H2 MEET Organizing Committee, chaired by Nam-hoon Kang and supported by major industry bodies like the Korea Automobile & Mobility Industry Association, H2KOREA, and Korea Energy Agency, announced that over 30 international enterprise buyers from regions including Japan, China, Europe, and the Middle East will participate in these consultation sessions. This initiative, organized in collaboration with KOTRA under the banner of the ‘Hydrogen Industry Global Partnership Consultation,’ will connect these buyers with approximately 50 Korean hydrogen-related companies.
Global Buyers to Explore Hydrogen Partnerships
From September 25 to 27, international buyers will engage in business discussions with Korean firms, covering the entire hydrogen value chain, including production, storage, transportation, power generation, and refueling. European companies will participate in large numbers, with notable names such as Acciona Nordex Green Hydrogen from Spain, CluBE from Greece, NIS from Serbia, and ÚJV Rež from the Czech Republic, exploring collaborations in hydrogen production and related technologies.
Additionally, India’s Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), a leader in the renewable energy sector, will be seeking Korean partners in clean energy, while six Chinese buyers will be on the lookout for suppliers in the fields of fuel cells and hydrogen refueling stations.
Japanese industry giant Kawasaki Heavy Industries will also be present at H2 MEET 2024, aiming to form partnerships for a major project involving the development of a liquefied hydrogen supply chain in Japan. A separate briefing and consultation session will be held by Kawasaki’s procurement manager, targeting around 50 Korean companies to deepen their understanding of the project and explore collaboration opportunities.
Opening Up Opportunities for Korean Hydrogen Companies
The consultation sessions are open to all Korean hydrogen industry companies, even those not exhibiting at H2 MEET 2024, providing them with an invaluable opportunity to connect with global buyers in one-on-one matching sessions. An official from the organizing committee emphasized, “This initiative allows any Korean company with innovative hydrogen technologies, whether in production, transportation, or utilization, to explore significant opportunities in the global market through direct engagement with overseas buyers.”
H2 MEET 2024: A Growing Hub for Hydrogen Industry Collaboration
H2 MEET 2024, held from September 25 to 27, is expected to attract global attention as South Korea’s largest hydrogen industry exhibition. For the first time, the event will be jointly hosted with H2WORLD, Korea’s first dedicated hydrogen exhibition, to provide broader opportunities for international collaboration and showcase South Korea’s leadership in the growing hydrogen economy.
Simultaneously, two related exhibitions— the Secondary Battery Materials, Parts and Equipment Exhibition (K-BATTERY SHOW 2024) and the Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Fluid Exhibition Korea (HARFKO 2024)— will be held at Hall 1 of KINTEX, further expanding the scope of discussions and networking opportunities across the energy and industrial sectors. |
