The Hungarian company claims that its new products can withstand a load of 300 kg. The modules are available with wattages of 23.65 W and 59.68 W and can be integrated into floors made of wood-plastic composites, wood, stone or ceramic.
Platio Solar, a Hungarian green technology company, has announced a new series of walkable photovoltaic panels.
“Solar Deck transforms outdoor areas such as terraces, rooftops, marinas and event spaces into energy-efficient and energy-generating surfaces,” the company said in a statement. “It is a decking solution that can be integrated with wood-plastic composite (WPC), wood, stone or ceramic flooring by being installed on the same supporting structure.”
The panels have a capacity of 23.65W or 59.68W and can reportedly support a load of 300kg. Both panels use M10 monocrystalline cells with a size of 182mm x 182mm and a power conversion efficiency of 23.3%. Their open circuit voltage ranges from 2.77V to 6.93V and their short circuit current ranges from 11.95A to 11.17A.
The smallest product measures 447mm x 447mm x 40mm and weighs 5.5kg. The largest model has dimensions of 447mm x 1,000mm x 40mm and weighs 11.5kg. “Depending on the size, the system offers a nominal power ranging from 117.1 to 133W/m²,” the company says.
Both panels feature an IP68 housing, 8mm extra-clear tempered glass and a sandblasted surface with coating. The frame is made from a custom-designed anodized aluminum alloy.
The company claims the panels can withstand a load of 300kg.
“The non-slip surface is highly resistant to loads, impacts and scratches and offers reliable UV protection, ensuring long-term durability,” he points out. “The return on investment (ROI) of the Platio Solar Deck system can be as little as five years, depending on location and use.” |
