The remodeling and expansion of the existing building will improve access control conditions for port workers, optimizing the flow of people, avoiding large concentrations and improving the possibilities of baggage inspection and breathalyzer testing, among other objectives.
In an important advance towards the improvement of infrastructure, and seeking excellence in security and control of the port terminals of the province, the opening of offers was carried out for the public price competition 03/2024 of the Port Administration of Puerto Madryn.
This competition, which aims at the execution of the work called “New Primary Zone Access Control Building – MAS”, had the participation of five bidding companies.

The general objective of the project is to generate a space of almost 500 square meters that will improve the conditions of access control for port workers, optimizing the flow of people, avoiding large concentrations and improving the possibilities of baggage inspection and breathalyzer testing. To this end, the remodeling and expansion of the existing building is planned.

With a planned execution period of 270 days, this important work will integrate the offices of the staff of the Port Administration of Puerto Madryn (APPM) linked to the registration and entry processes, while at the same time it will generate a own sector for the Argentine Naval Prefecture, with independent office and services.
Regarding this matter, the head of the Puerto Madryn Port Administration, Diego Pérez, highlighted that “it is a work of utmost importance both for the port and for the workers who go to work every day in the primary area, since it will give them security and It will speed up access” and added that “it will allow us to continue positioning the ports of our province in international markets.” |
