Prequalifications are invited for Construction of Surface Water Treatment Plant & Transmission Mains and Distribution Network Construction of Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP), Transmission Mains, Feeding Mains, and Distribution Networks Construction of a SWTP with capacity of 54 MGD (expandable to 108 MGD) will treat raw water diverted from BRBD Canal downstream of Ravi Siphon. The SWTP will mainly provide 24/7 supply of potable water to four (04) service areas of Lahore namely Baghbanpura, Shadipura, Fatehgarh, and Mughalpura. Land for the SWTP is being acquired by WASA near Bhaini Road. Raw water from BRBD Canal will be delivered to the SWTP site boundary by the Punjab Irrigation Department. Following the SWTP design (4 months) and construction, and commissioning (36 months), operation and maintenance for the SWTP is required under the contract for 24 months including training and capacity building of WASA staff. Treated water from the SWTP will be delivered to the four service areas by constructing a series of new transmission and feeding mains that would finally connect to the existing distribution networks. The new infrastructure should be designed and constructed considering the future expansion of the SWTP to double its capacity. The scope includes major rehabilitation for the distribution system including the establishment of district metered zones (DMZs), district metered areas (DMAs), installation of bulk and customer meters, and also the development and implementation of a full non-revenue water (NRW) reduction strategy. The scope also includes rehabilitation of the existing tubewells to be able to supply the networks during periods of canal closure Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the WASA at the address below during office hours i.e., 0900 to 1600 hours from Monday to Saturday and from 0900 to 1300 hours on Friday. 5. The prospective Applicant may purchase the PQD electronically by submitting a formal written request to the email address provided below, accompanied by proof of payment of the aforementioned non-refundable fee to the designated account below. Upon receipt of the written application and payment confirmation, the PQD will be promptly dispatched via email to the address specified in the application. It is important to note that the Employer cannot be held liable for any delays or non-receipt of the PQD by the interested parties. In the event that the PQD is not received within 2 working days after the submission of the written application and payment evidence, the Applicant will notify the Employer promptly.
